GPR37L1

[G-protein-coupled receptor-37-like-1] This human receptor has been described by Valdenaire et al (1998) as ET(B)R-LP-2 [Endothelin B receptor-like protein 2]. The receptor is highly related to ET(B)R-LP (see: GPR37 [G-protein-coupled receptor-37]), showing 68 % overall homology and 48 % identity. Strong expression is seen in the human central nervous system (e.g. in cerebellar Bergmann glial cells, cerebral cortex, internal capsule fibers). Endothelin-1, endothelin-2, endothelin-3, bombesin, cholecystokinin-8 and gastrin releasing peptide have been ruled out as ligands.
