[G-protein-coupled receptor-10] GPR10 is a human gene cloned by PCR from a human genomic DNA library (Marchese et al, 1995). GPR10 is located on human chromosome 10q25.3-q26 and encodes a receptor that shares high identity with the neuropeptide Y type 1 receptor and an orphan receptor induced by glucocorticoids. However, the receptor is not activated by either neuropeptide Y or pancreatic polypeptide (Marchese et al, 1995).
