[granulocyte/pollen-binding protein] This heat-stable protein has been found in normal human serum. It promotes the binding of granulocytes to timothy grass pollen. GPBP is identical with Transferrin (Sass-Kuhn et al, 1984). The pollen-binding property of transferrin is unrelated to iron transport.
