[formyl peptide receptor-like-2; FPR-like-2] This receptor, which is related to FPR [formyl peptide receptor], has been identified by Bao et al (1992). The approved gene symbol for this receptor is FPR3 [formyl peptide receptor-3]. FPRL2 is being referred to also as FPRH2 [formyl peptide receptor homolog-2] (Bao et al, 1992). The receptor does not bind fMLP.
Harada et al (2004) have identified Humanin as a ligand for FPRL2. Migeotte et al (2005) have identified F2L (FPRL2 ligand) from spleen as a ligand for this receptor. F2L is an acetylated 21 amino acid peptide
