Echinotocin
Echinotocin (CFISNCPKGamide) is a myoactive neuropeptide from the sea urchin Strongylocentrotus purpuratus. Echinotocin is an echinoderm vasopressin / oxytocin like peptide. This neuropeptide causes contraction of tube foot and oesophagus preparations from the sea urchin Echinus esculentus (Elphick and Rowe, 2009).
