[Early hematopoietic zinc finger protein] The protein contains 30 copies of a zinc finger motif with 96 % homology to mouse Evi3, a gene associated with the retroviral integration site in AKXD-27 B-cell lymphomas. In sequence data banks the protein is known also as ZNF521 or Zfp521 [Zinc finger protein 521].
