[Drosophila receptor tyrosine kinase-like orphan receptor; Drosophila Ror] This Drosophila melanogaster gene (CG4926) is thought to be the fly counterpart of the two receptor tyrosine kinases ROR1 and ROR2. Dror expression appears to be restricted to neural tissues during embryogenesis (Wilson et al, 1993) and peak expression of Dror coincides with early processes of neuronal differentiation, including axonogenesis (Oishi et al, 1997). The receptor may encode a neurotrophic receptor that functions during early stages of neural development in Drosophila (Wilson et al, 1993). For a related receptor tyrosine kinase see also: Dnrk [
