[DC-derived Ig-like receptor 2; Dendritic cell-derived Ig-like receptor 2] This membrane receptor is a member of the immunoglobulin gene superfamily (IgSF) and has been identified by Shi et al (2006). DIgR2 is expressed on dendritic cells. The receptor contains 2 inhibitory ITIM motifs within its cytoplasmic region and associates with protein tyrosine phosphatase SHP-1. Blockade of DIgR2 enhances T-cell proliferation and antigen-specific T-cell responses initiated by dendritic cells both in vitro and in vivo.
