Casein-kappa(89-109)

kappa-casein(89-109); also: Casein 89. This bioactive cryptic peptide fragment of casein-beta with the sequence PHAQIPQRQYLPNSHPPTVVR (Pro-His-Ala-Gln-Ile-Pro-Gln-Arg-Gln-Tyr-Leu-Pro-Asn-Ser-His-Pro-Pro-Thr-Val-Val-Arg) has been identified in human colostrum. The peptide has been shown to inhibit the growth of adipocyte precursors (Cui et al, 2016).
