CRDGF

[Colorectum cell-derived growth factor] This 25 kDa factor is isolated from the human colon carcinoma cell line HT29. CRDGF and amphiregulin are homologous. This conclusion is based on the partial N-terminal amino acid sequence reported for CRDGF. CRDGF is detected in a Western blot by antibodies against amphiregulin. The factor, like amphiregulin, stimulates the phosphorylation of the EGF receptor (Culouscou et al, 1992).

CRDGF is probably the same as the factor described earlier by the name of CRGF [colorectal carcinoma growth factor] (Pommier et al, 1988).
