[Cell immortalization-related protein 2] This gene has been described by Ma et al (1998). CIR2 expression is upregulated in immortalized cells as shown by mRNA differential display comparison with pre-immortal cells. Sequence analysis shows that CIR2 is identical with Neudesin.
