CD40

CD40 is the approved gene symbol. Owing to its homology to other members of the TNF receptor superfamily the designation TNFRSF5 [TNF receptor superfamily member 5] is used also. TNFR5, found in some publications, is a corrupted form of TNFRSF5 [TNF receptor superfamily member 5] and is used synonymously in some publications.
