CD317

[CD317(+), CD317(-)]

Other designations:

120G8 antigen

BST-2 [bone marrow stromal cell antigen-2]

HM1.24 antigen

PDCA-1 [plasmacytoid dendritic cell antigen-1]

Tetherin

Various antibodies recognizing CD317 have been described (Vidal-Laliena et al, 2005).

CD317 is a glycosylated type 2 transmembrane protein with a short cytoplasmic N-terminus, a single membrane-spanning domain, and a large extracellular domain tethered to cholesterol-rich membrane microdomains by virtue of a glycophosphatidylinositol anchor at the C-terminus (Kupzig et al, 2003; Swiecki et al, 2011; Schubert et al, 2010; Yang et al, 2010).
