BSF-TC
[TC-1-derived B-cell stimulating factor] This biochemically uncharacterized factor is produced by the murine stromal cell line TC-1 (see also: BMC; bone marrow culture) (Simpson et al, 1989).
The factor stimulates proliferation of B-cells previously activated by anti-Ig (anti-Ig blasts). Proliferation of anti-Ig blasts is not induced by purified cytokines known to be produced by TC-1 (M-CSF, GM-CSF, or G-CSF) or by IL1, IL2, IL3, IL4, IL5, or IL6.
