Apsup
Apsup is a suppressor of apoptosis encoded by the baculovirus Lymantria dispar multiple nucleopolyhedrovirus (LdMNPV), termed LdMNPV Apsup [Lymantria dispar multiple nucleopolyhedrovirus apoptosis suppressor]. Lyxy105 (also ly-apsup, Lymantria xylina multiple nucleopolyhedrovirus apoptosis suppressor; abbr. LyxyMNPV Apsusp), is a homolog of LdMNPV Apsup with anti-apoptotic activity.
Apsup inhibits the apoptosis of L. dispar Ld652Y cells triggered by infection with p35-defective Autographa californica MNPV (vAcΔp35) and exposure to actinomycin D or UV light.
