The protein is being referred to also as ADMLX [Adhesion molecule-like X-linked] (Legouis R et al, 1991), KALIG1 [Kallman syndrome interval gene 1] (Bick et al, 1992), KAL1 (Cariboni A et al, 2004), also KAL protein or Kallmann syndrome protein (Legouis R et al, 1991) (for nomenclature see also: de Castro F et al, 2017). The gene structure and a non-processed pseudogene on chromosome Y have been reported by del Castillo I et al (1992); see also: Legouis R et al (1994).
