[apoptosis-associated tyrosine kinase] AATYK is the same as AATYK1 [apoptosis-associated tyrosine kinase 1]. This gene is known also as AATK and has been identified in human brain cDNA libraries as clone KIAA0641 by Ishikawa et al (1998). In databanks the kinase is being referred to also as Lemur tyrosine kinase 1 or lemur kinase 1 (abbr. LMTK1; abbr. also LMR1).
