2B11-BCGF
[2B11 B-cell growth factor] This biochemically uncharacterized human T-cell derived B-cell growth factor (see: BCGF) of approximately 20 kDa stimulates the proliferation of rat astrocytes (Benveniste et al, 1989). The factor also induces morphological differentiation and increases mRNA transcripts for glial fibrillary acidic protein (GFAP) in rat astrocytes.
2B11-BCGF enhances the proliferation of anti-mu-stimulated human B-cells without influencing immunoglobulin synthesis. The factor is not identical with human IL2, IL3, IL4,
