VIP receptor 2 |
VIR-576 |
Myxoma virus BCL2 homolog |

This is the term pertaining to a number of short anionic, antiviral peptides ultrafiltrates (5 kDa cutoff) of cell-free medium from mosquito cell cultures persistently infected with dengue virus DENV serotype 2 (DENV-2) (Laosutthipong et al, 2013).
Viprolaxikine reduces DENV-2 titers by almost 4 logs. Activity is highest against DENV-2, but there is also significant activity against the 3 other DENV serotypes. The peptides responsible for this activity have been identified as DDHELQD (Asp-Asp-His-Glu-Leu-Gln-Asp), DETELQD (Asp-Glu-Thr-Glu-Leu-Gln-Asp), DEVMLQD (Asp-Glu-Val-Met-Leu-Gln-Asp), DEVLMQD.
