[snoRNA]
[Small nucleolar RNAs] are a group of non-coding RNAs localised to the nucleolus. The two main classes of these RNAs are distinguished by short characteristic sequences motifs (called boxes) and are being referred to as Box C/D snoRNAs [Box C/D small nucleolar RNAs; C/D Box small nucleolar RNAs] (also: sdRNAs), and Box H/ACA snoRNAs [Box H/ACA small nucleolar RNAs; H/ACA Box small nucleolar RNAs]. These two classes also differ in their secondary structures (Henras et al, 2004).
