This peptide (abbr. RP-27 peptide) with the sequence ELRLPEIARPVPEVLPARLPLPALPRN (Glu-Leu-Arg-Leu-Pro-Glu-Ile-Ala-Arg-Pro-Val-Pro-Glu-Val-Leu-Pro-Ala-Arg-Leu-Pro-Leu-Pro-Ala-Leu-Pro-Arg-Asn) has been isolated from skin secretions of the Mexican burrowing toad Rhinophrynus dorsalis together with rhinophrynin-33, which contains the C-terminal extension KMAKNQ (Conlon et al, 2017).
