The term non-B-cells (non-beta-cells) is used occasionally to refer collectively to the other major endocrine cell types in pancreatic islets of Langerhans that are not beta-cells:
glucagon cells (A-cells or alpha-cells),
somatostatin cells (D cells or delta-cells),
pancreatic polypeptide cells (PP cells or F-cells or gamma-cells).
