delta-EF1

[delta-crystallin/E2-box factor 1; delta-crystallin enhancer binding factor 1] delta-EF1 has been identified originally as an enhancer binding factor of the chicken delta-1-crystallin gene (Funahashi et al, 1991). It is distributed widely and possesses repressive activity on transcription (Kamachi and Kondoh, 1993). The human homolog is transcription factor TCF-8 [transcription factor 8].
