Also: casein-alpha-s1(104-109). This peptide with the sequence YKVPQL (Tyr-Lys-Val-Pro-Gln-Leu) is derived from bovine alpha-s1-casein (approved gene symbol: CSN1S1 [casein-alpha-s1]). It has been shown to act as an inhibitor of angiotensin-1 converting enzyme (CD143) and can lower blood pressure in rats (Maeno et al, 1996).
