Wnt-8a

[Wnt family member 8a; wingless-type MMTV integration site family member 8a] Wnt-8a is one member of the so-called Wnt family of proteins (Nusse et al, 1991). The human gene has been identified by Saitoh and Katoh (2001). The Wnt-8a protein shares 63.2 % sequence identity with human Wnt-8b. Receptors for Wnt-8 have been identified as frizzled-8c and frizzled-9 (Momoi et al, 2003).
