[Wnt family member 13; wingless-type MMTV integration site family member 13] Human Wnt-13 is a member of the Wnt family of structurally related genes that encode secreted extracellular signaling factors. It is very similar to the human Wnt-2 and has been referred to as Wnt-2b (Katoh et al, 1996; Zakin et al, 1998). Katoh et al (2000) have reported the existence of isoforms Wnt-2b1 and Wnt-2b2 (the original Wnt-2b), which are completely different in the 5'-UTR and in the N-terminal part of the coding region.
