VEGF-138

[VEGF-A138] [Vascular endothelial growth factor-138] This artificial isoform of VEGF contains exon 6B but lacks exons 6A and 7 (which is also missing in VEGF-145). The truncated protein does not bind to a natural basement membrane produced by corneal endothelial cells. (Lange et al, 2003)
