UL22A
[Cytomegalovirus UL22A protein] This glycoprotein of 83 amino acids is encoded in the genome of Human cytomegalovirus and is known also as UL20A [Cytomegalovirus UL20A protein] (Scott et al, 2002). The protein has been shown to bind the chemokine RANTES (CCL5) and is thought to assist the virus in dampening host antiviral responses. Sulfation of the protein at tyrosine residues enhances binding of the chemokine (Wang X et al, 2017)
