[synovial endothelium targeting peptide] This peptide, CKSTHDRLC, has been identified by Lee et al (2002) by phage display library screening. The peptide targets endothelial cells within vessels of human inflamed synovial tissue grafted into SCID mice. A fusion protein consisting of the SyETP targeting peptide with IL4 augments production of IL1 receptor antagonist (IL1ra) by fibroblast-like synoviocytes stimulated with IL1-beta n a dose-dependent manner.
