STAG1

[solid tumor-associated gene 1] Rae et al (2001) have identified the same protein as STAG1 [solid tumor-associated gene 1], the expression of which is upregulated in renal cell carcinoma and stomach and rectal adenocarcinomas. These authors identified two transcripts that give rise to proteins of 36 kDa and 39 kDa. The protein is identical with PMEPA1.
