This peptide, LLRLLLLIESWLE, is one of several endogenous peptides derived from proteins containing a conserved somatotropin domain and selected for inhibition of angiogenesis and lymphangiogenesis using in vitro proliferation, migration, adhesion and tube formation assays with blood and lymphatic endothelial cells (Lee et al, 2011). The peptide is derived from chorionic somatomammotropin and corresponds to chorionic somatomammotropin(101-113).
