SD/01

a genetically engineered, pegylated form of recombinant human G-CSF. SD/01 (pegfilgrastim) is a derivative of Filgrastim obtained by association of Filgrastim with polyethylene glycol (Molineux et al, 1999). This derivative has a prolonged duration of action in vivo, due to decreased plasma clearance and increased plasma half-life, and has an enhanced ability to mobilize peripheral blood progenitor cells in both mice and humans.
