[large yellow croaker CXCL12] This protein (75 amino acids) is the fish counterpart of the mammalian chemokine CXCL12, isolated from large yellow croaker (Pseudosciaena crocea). It shares 57-68 % and 32-36 % amino acid sequence identities to known CXCL12 chemokines in fish species and other vertebrates, respectively. The LycCXCL12 gene is expressed constitutively at different levels in many tissues. Its expression is upregulated following exposure to poly(I:C) or inactivated trivalent bacterial vaccine.
