[lung cancer-targeting peptide] this peptide with the sequence RCPLSHSLICY has been identified by phage display library screening. The peptide is a targeting peptide for lung cancer cells. A dendrimer conjugate of this peptide with FITC and acetylated PAMAM (acetylated polyamidoamine) shows binding to, and uptake by NCI-H460 large cell carcinoma cells, but hardly by 293T human kidney cells. Experiments with xenotransplanted mice show that effectively homes to nonsmall cell lung cancer cells and tumors.
