Kassinatuerin-1 (GFMKYIGPLIPHAVKAISDLI) and Kassinatuerin-2 (FIQYLAPLIPHAVKAISDLI) have been identified in skin secretions of the from the African frog, Kassina senegalensis (Muttute et al (2000). Kassinatuerin-1 is active against Escherichia coli, Staphylococcus aureus, and the yeast Candida albicans, whereas Kassinatuerin-2 is inactive.
