JTK12

The gene is one of a series of putative tyrosine kinases expressed in, and cloned from, the K-562 chronic myelogenous leukemia cell line (Partanen et al, 1990). Sequence analysis shows that JTK12 is identical with CD140b, which is PDGF receptor-beta (abbr. PDGFR-beta). Other designations for this receptor for PDGF are PDGFR [PDGF receptor] or PDGFR1 [PDGF receptor-1].
