AIMP2

[ARS-interacting multi-functional protein 2; aminoacyl-tRNA synthetase complex interacting multifunctional protein 2]. The protein is known also as Multisynthase complex auxiliary component p38 (or simply p38; also: AIMP2/p38) and as JTV-1 in sequence databanks.

AIMP2 is one of three proteins that are non-catalytic components of the multi-ARS (aminoacyl-tRNA synthetase) complex (Kaminska et al, 2009). Ofir-Birin Y et al (2013) have reported that AIMP2 in the muti-ARS complex binds to Lysyl-tRNA synthetase.
