abbr. PAP-1 (a term with multiple meanings). This placental inhibitor of blood coagulation is one of several such proteins found in placenta (Tait et al, 1988). PAP-1 (called also PAP [placental anticoagulant protein]) (Funakoshi et al, 1987) has been found to be identical with a 32 kDa protein found in blood mononuclear cells (see also: endonexin-2) (Rothhut et al, 1989). The protein is identical with Annexin-5.
