This peptide (Karagiannis and Popel, 2007) is derived from the netrin receptor UNC5D (UNC5H4). Netrinstatin-5D [TEWSACNVRCGRGWQKRSR] corresponds to residues 254-272 of the UNC5D gene (UNC5D(254-272); UNC5H4(254-272)) (Karagiannis and Popel, 2008). The primary structure of this peptide is similar to the thrombospondin type 1 domains found in thrombospondin-1, thrombospondin-2, the metalloproteinases ADAMTS1 and ADAMTS8.
