abbr. NH cells. Natural helper cells (also: innate helper cells or non-T non-B innate helper cells) are a type of innate lymphocyte present in a novel lymphoid structure associated with adipose tissues in human and mouse mesentery designated FALC [fat-associated lymphoid cluster] (Moro et al, 2010; for overview see also: Saglani, 2011). Unlike lymph nodes, these clusters are not surrounded by a fibrous capsule and the lymphocytes are in direct contact with surrounding adipocytes.
