abbr. MRCs. These cells are a distinct subset of stromal cells common to the margins of secondary lymphoid organs. They are derived from lymphoid tissue organizer cells. Marginal reticular cells are closely associated with specialized endothelial or epithelial structures for antigen transport (Katakai et al, 2012).
