abbr. LAPCs [late activator APCs] This cell type, characterized as a population of CD45(+) mononuclear cells distinct from conventional dendritic cells, is found in virus-infected murine lungs. These cells migrate from the lungs to the draining lymph nodes late in the infection cycle (between 6 and 12 d postinfection) (Yoo et al, 2010).
