laminin-beta-1(929-933)

[LAMB1(929-933)] This bioactive fragment derived from laminin-beta-1 and corresponding to YIGSR has been identified by Graf et al (1987).

This peptide has been shown to promote cell adhesion and migration and to inhibit angiogenesis and tumor growth, metastasis, and invasion (Graf et al, 1987; Iwamoto Y et al, 1987; Yamamura K et al, 1993). Nakai M et al (1992) have reported that the peptide inhibits the formation of osteolytic metastases by human melanoma cells in nude mice.
