[zebrafish hematopoietic death receptor] abbr. zHDR); also: zDR [zebrafish death receptor]) This death receptor from zebrafish (Danio rerio) contains a death domain and has been implicated in hematopoiesis (Kwan et al, 2006; Long et al, 2000).
Kwan et al (2006) have reported that knock-down of zHDR expression in zebrafish embryos decreases cell death by apoptosis and increases Hemoglobin formation, suggesting that zHDR may regulate primitive hematopoiesis during development.
