abbr. HP1 (a term with multiple meanings). This activity was observed in conditioned medium of cultures of human mixed peripheral blood leukocytes. It partially restored the antibody response of T-cell deficient adherent murine spleen cells and nude mouse spleen cells (see also: Immunodeficient mice) to the thymic dependent antigen SRC (Koopman et al, 1978).

The factor is identical with TPF (thymocyte proliferation factor), and LAF (lymphocyte activating factor), and hence identical with IL1 (Mizel and Farrar, 1979).
