flg-2

[fms-like gene-2] This kinase encodes a homolog of the type 3 receptor for FGF (FGFR3). See also: bFGF.

The mouse gene encoding flg-2 has been cloned by Avivi et al (1991) who have reported predominant expression in skin, brain and lung. flg-2 shows 68 % amino acid sequence identity with bek and 64 % identity with flg. In the nomenclature of CD antigens the receptor has been given the designation CD333.
