This cell type, called also endometrial granular cells, in the uterus of humans and non-human primates is known also as uterine NK-cells [uterine natural killer cells] (abbr. uNK-cells; also: uterine trNK-cells [uterine tissue-resident NK-cells]) (Spornitz, 1992; Hellweg, 1954).
