casein-derived iron-chelating peptides

Miao et al (2019) have isolated four iron-chelating peptides obtained from trypsin hydrolysates of casein. These are

• CHP-1 peptide (EDVPSER; Glu-Asp-Val-Pro-Ser-Glu-Arg), which corresponds to Alpha-s1-casein(99-105) (casein-alpha-s1(99-105))

• CHP-2 peptide (HKEMPFPK; His-Lys-Glu-Met-Pro-Phe-Pro-Lys), which corresponds to Alpha-s2-casein(40-47) (casein-alpha-s2(40-47))
