abbr. aiCD4(+) T-cells. This cell type constitutes a subpopulation of T-cells (Tsumiyama K et al (2009). They are observed after overstimulation of CD4(+) T-cells, are characterized by T- cell receptor revision, and are capable of inducing various autoantibodies. The cells express PDCD1[programmed cell death-1] and are CD27(low), CD127(low), CCR7(low) and CD44(high) CD62L(low), and show increased production of IL2 and IL6 (Miyazaki et al, 2013).
These autoantibody-inducing CD4(+) T-cells also promote the final differentiation of CD8 T-cells
