abbr. AFP. Antifungal protein is a histidine-rich protein of 67 amino acid purified from the hemolymph of third instar larvae of the flesh fly Sarcophaga peregrina. It is active against Candida albicans and synergizes with sarcotoxin-1A (Iijima et al, 1993).
